Christmas Party!

This month, instead of having our usual Support Group meeting, we went to Air Kids in Corona for a Christmas Party. We were able to use the party room for pizza and snacks. After dinner we all went out into the rooms with the giant inflatables and the kids had a blast! Kayla and Malena stole the spotlight with some awesome dancing! And the guns that shoot out soft balls were a huge hit with the kids and the dads! The moms were pelted out of nowhere with nearby dads looking to the sky whistling and trying not to laugh. Everyone had so much fun, that before we knew it, it was pushing 9pm. My kids got a treat being up 2 hours past their bedtimes! A huge thanks to Mary for setting this all up for us!

Welcome!

I set up this blog as a preview of the upcoming DSARCW. We are waiting for the new year to roll around before we file for our non-profit status, but plans are well underway! I hope this helps you get to know some of us! In 2007, when our fun group activities get rolling, I will post them with pictures so our friends and families can see the fun we are having.
I wanted to start this Down Syndrome Association for my son, Samuel, age 3, because we don't have enough quality services in Riverside County. That needs to change and hopefully in 2007, it will. I plan, with the help of some friends, to have something available for all age groups. Not just the support group meetings, but outings, and get togethers, dinners, fundraisers, dances, and much more!
